STREAMLINED PARK
Across the street from LTU, there is a small plot of land through which the Rouge River flows. This project explored how to utilize this site's various microclimates as possibilities for expressing the University's heritage and optimistic identity as the "University of the Future." This attitude correlated perfectly with the futuristic Googie architecture of the 1960s, which I sought to employ to express that identity. This project is primarily included to demonstrate site integration, environmental consciousness, and experience. It is also an early example of my exploration of historic precedents to enrich contemporary life.
